The Deep Dive
Intensive
One day, real change.
A focused, 4-hour therapy intensive designed to
help you go deeper into a specific issue, pattern, or transition.
A Different Way to Do Deep Work
Sometimes what you need isn't one more weekly hour squeezed into a busy calendar. It's a single, unhurried day.
If you're the kind of person who overthinks everything, feels things more deeply than the people around you, and has already read the books and listened to the podcasts trying to solve it yourself, you know the frustration of a single weekly hour that ends just as you're finally getting somewhere.
A pattern you can't shake. A decision you keep circling. A season of life that's cracked something open. A single hour a week can feel like sipping water through a straw when what you actually need is to submerge.
That's what a therapy intensive is for.
What Is a Therapy Intensive?
A therapy intensive is one focused, 4-hour virtual session. It is a deep dive into a specific issue, pattern, or transition, without the stop-and-start of weekly sessions. Instead of picking a thread back up every seven days, we stay with it. We follow it all the way down.
For overthinkers especially, this format can feel like relief. You already know how to analyze yourself. What you're looking for is momentum; a container long enough to actually get somewhere, instead of just getting warmed up before the hour ends.
Intensives are held virtually, so you can do this work from anywhere in California including Hermosa Beach, the South Bay, LA, or anywhere else in the state.

Is a Therapy Intensive Right for You?
A therapy intensive might be a fit if:
You've been circling the same decision for weeks – replaying it, analyzing it from every angle, making pro/con lists at midnight – and you already know that one more 50-minute session of "let's keep exploring this" isn't going to get you unstuck. You need a day to actually land somewhere.
You're a high achiever, people-pleaser, or perfectionist who's used to working harder, going deeper, and managing everyone else's needs and expectations. You don't want therapy-lite – you're ready to turn that energy inward and actually get somewhere.
You're the "sensitive one" who feels everything more intensely than the people around you, and something – a breakup, a career pivot, a family rupture – has knocked you sideways enough that waiting eight weeks of Tuesdays to feel different isn't an option.
You worry you're "too self-aware" for therapy – you already understand the why behind your patterns – but something still feels unresolved, and you want a space built for going past the insight into work that actually shifts it.
Your schedule genuinely doesn't bend around a recurring weekly appointment. You're a founder, a clinician, a parent stretched thin, or someone who travels for work, and a single flexible day works where a standing weekly slot cannot.
You're already in weekly therapy and it's working, but there's one specific issue you want to go all-in on without derailing the rest of that ongoing work.
A therapy intensive is likely not the right fit if:
You're currently in an active mental health crisis or need ongoing, frequent support.
An intensive is a deep, focused container, not a substitute for crisis care or consistent weekly treatment. You're looking for a quick fix or a single session to "solve" something permanently.
Real change still takes integration and sometimes ongoing support after our day together. You're not yet ready to sit with discomfort for an extended period of time.
4 hours of focused emotional work is a lot to hold, and that's worth being honest with yourself about beforehand.
How it Works
1
Before we meet
Before your intensive, you'll complete a short intake questionnaire and a few reflection prompts covering your history, goals, and the patterns you want to change. This helps us skip the background and dive straight into the work when we begin.
2
During the intensive
We'll look at how your history shapes where you have currently landed, and use that insight, alongside transformative somatic and IFS tools, to build a new, focused way forward. This work is rooted in your unique values and goals. Rather than rushing from topic to topic, we have the time to follow what's most important.
3
Afterward
Within a few days, you'll receive a written summary of the key insights and strategies from our time together – something to return to as you integrate the work. A follow-up session is also available to book separately, if you'd like additional support translating what we uncovered into your everyday life.
Why an Intensive Can Create a Different Kind of Momentum
Spend more time processing instead of summarizing
Because sometimes the thing you've been trying to understand for years needs more than 50 minutes.
Weekly therapy can be – and is – incredibly meaningful. Intensives can be a powerful way to either kick off or enhance your ongoing therapeutic work. But sometimes, especially for people who are highly self-aware, busy, and used to holding a lot together, 50 minutes can feel like a strange amount of time.
You spend the first part of the session explaining what happened. You spend the middle part realizing what is actually happening. And then, right when you finally get to the thing underneath the thing...
"Okay, we're just about at the end of session today."
Your nervous system has excellent timing. Truly.
Many high-achieving people are incredibly skilled at explaining what happened. You can analyze. You can make sense of situations. You can tell the story. But insight alone isn't always enough.
Healing happens when we have enough time to slow down, actually feel our feelings, and allow your nervous system to experience something different. An intensive gives us the space to move beyond reporting the facts and toward exploring the meaning underneath the feelings.
Move beyond insight into integration
Many people with anxiety are already very self-aware.
You may know:
where your perfectionism comes from
why you overthink
what your triggers are
what patterns you repeat
The frustrating part is:
"I understand it... so why do I still feel this way?"
Because lasting change is not just about understanding your patterns. It's about integrating that understanding into your body, your emotions, and the way you respond to yourself.
Through nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, and compassionate exploration, we work toward helping you feel safer experiencing emotions instead of immediately needing to escape, fix, or control them.
Why This Works
The Approach Behind the Deep Dive
Four hours alone isn't what makes an intensive effective – it's what we do with the time.
This work draws on two approaches that, combined, help you move past insight into actual, felt change.
-
Somatic tools mean we're not just talking about what's going on — we're paying attention to what's happening in your body while we talk about it. Anxiety, overthinking, and old patterns don't just live in your thoughts; they live in your nervous system. A tight chest before a hard conversation, a stomach that drops before you send an email, a jaw that clenches when you're about to disappoint someone — these are information, not noise. In a 4-hour container, there's enough time to actually slow down and listen to what your body has been trying to tell you, instead of rushing past it the way a 50-minute hour often forces us to.
-
IFS gives us a map for the different "parts" of you that show up in these patterns — the part that overthinks to stay safe, the part that people-pleases to avoid conflict, the part that pushes you to achieve so you'll finally feel like enough. None of these parts are the enemy. Each one developed for a reason, usually to protect you. IFS lets us get curious about these parts instead of fighting them, understand what they're afraid would happen if they stopped doing their job, and help them trust that you — the calm, curious core of who you are — can lead instead.
Together, these two approaches mean the work we do in your 4 hours isn't just cognitive. It's a full deep dive — body and mind, insight and felt experience — which is exactly why a single extended session can create the kind of shift that might otherwise take months of weekly sessions to reach.

Meet Tori
You don't have to do the deeper work alone.
It can feel scary to face uncomfortable emotions, old patterns, or painful experiences, especially when so few of us were ever taught how to do that safely.
My role is to create a space where you can slow down, get curious about what's underneath the patterns keeping you stuck, and reconnect with yourself with greater compassion. We'll work with both your thinking brain and emotional nervous system patterns, building a sense of safety that allows you to go deeper without feeling like you have to push your way through.
I feel deeply honored to be part of this work and to support you as you move toward greater clarity, connection, and trust in yourself.
Freqently Asked Questions
-
A therapy intensive is an extended, single therapy session — in this case, 4 hours — focused on one specific issue, pattern, or life transition, rather than the weekly 50-minute format most people are familiar with.
-
They serve different purposes. Weekly therapy builds change gradually through consistency over time and is highly effective for ongoing support. A therapy intensive is designed for concentrated, deep-dive work in a single extended session, often for people with demanding schedules or a specific issue they want to focus on. Many people benefit from one, the other, or both.
-
People with unpredictable or demanding schedules who can't commit to a recurring weekly time, people facing a specific decision or life transition, and people who want to go deep on one issue without spreading the work across many months.
-
This intensive is offered virtually, so you can participate from anywhere in California, including Hermosa Beach and the greater Los Angeles area.
-
The 4-hour virtual Deep Dive Intensive is $2,000.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is due the day of booking your intensive. The remaining 50% is due the day of your intensive.
-
Yes. Some clients use an intensive as a standalone deep dive, while others use it alongside their existing weekly therapy to make focused progress on a specific issue.
-
This intensive combines somatic therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Somatic tools help you notice and work with what's happening in your body, not just your thoughts, while IFS helps you understand and work with the different protective "parts" of yourself driving anxiety, overthinking, and people-pleasing patterns. Together, they support deeper, felt change rather than insight alone.
-
A 4-hour intensive asks more of you than a typical session, so a little preparation goes a long way.
Clear the day around it. Try not to schedule anything demanding right before or after. You'll want space to arrive settled and time afterward to let things resettle before you're back to emails and errands.
Find a private, comfortable space. Somewhere you won't be interrupted. This is somatic work, so your body needs room to actually feel safe enough to show up.
Have water, a snack, a notebook, and a blanket nearby. We'll take breaks throughout, and small comforts help your nervous system stay regulated across a longer session.
Come with a general sense of what you want to focus on. We will touch on this during our consultation call, and you can consider what specific topic you’d like to address first. You don't need a polished agenda, just an honest starting point. We'll get more specific together.
Let the people around you know you'll be offline. Treat this like you would a therapy retreat day, not a regular appointment you can half-attend between other things.
-
Because I hold a limited number of intensive spots each month, your booking reserves that time exclusively for you. Rescheduling requires at least 14 days' notice; reschedule requests made within 14 days of your session, as well as any cancellation, mean the deposit is retained.
-
Because intensives fall outside standard session billing codes, they are not eligible for insurance reimbursement
